Canavese DOC Barbera

  • Grape variety: 100% Barbera, in a pergola system,
    vineyard aged between 50 and 60 years.

  • Harvest: first ten days of October.

  • Winemaking:The harvested grapes are subjected to destemming, pressing followed by approximately 6 days of remaining on the skins. After racking, refinement and malolactic fermentation in steel tanks.

  • Tasting notes:at theview intense ruby red, with subtle violet reflections;
    hisperfume clean and aromatic, fruity and vinous, it presents initial hints of plum, cherry and raspberry, finally revealing slightly spicy notes;
    Thetaste it is smooth, rightly tannic, pleasantly savoury, good body and good persistence.

  • Suggestions and pairings:Recommended serving temperature 14-16 °C.
    Excellent with dishes based on not too elaborate red meats such as boiled, sliced, fillet.
    Traditional with even mature cheeses.
    Classic and excellent with stuffed pasta and tajarin with meat sauce.
